Rinku Singh made headlines yet again on Tuesday during India’s second T20I of the three-match series at ​​St George's Park, Gqeberha. The flamboyant batsman notched up his maiden T20I fifty, and after that, what he did against South Africa captain Aiden Markram generated more attention.

Batting in the lower middle-order, Rinku, who had a breakthrough season for KKR in the IPL 2023, has shown unbelievable consistency since he started playing for the Men in Blue. However, considering he is more of an attacker against pacers than spinners, Markram brought himself into the attack to bowl the 19th over.

Rinku came down the track to get under the ball off Markram, who bowled a tossed-up delivery towards the leg stump. The Indian superstar did it with perfection and sent the ball miles behind the boundary line over long-on.

Then, on the following delivery, Rinku stepped out again, but this time he went straight over Markram’s head. The result was the same, and hence, two sixes off the final two balls left Markram frustrated.

Meanwhile, Rinku reached to his career-best score of 68* off just 39 balls, laced with nine fours and two sixes, as India reached 180/7 against South Africa before rain's interruption.
