Tim David was dismissed for duck in BBL [Source: @BBL/X]
Royal Challengers Bengaluru's recently hired finisher Tim David had a poor outing in the Big Bash League, as he was dismissed cheaply in Hobart Hurricanes' ongoing encounter against Melbourne Renegades. Coming at number six, David went back to the dugout without opening his account.
The incident occurred during the fifth over of the Hurricanes' innings when Tim David had just joined the middle following Nikhil Chaudhary's dismissal. From over the wicket, Melbourne Renegades' Fergus O'Neill bowled a full-length delivery that straightened off the pitch after pitching around the fourth stump.
As David went for a half-hearted shot off his front foot, the ball took the outside edge off his bat, with the Renegades' wicketkeeper Tim Seifert completing a simple catch behind the stumps. Thus, David, who was expected to bail the Hurricanes out of trouble, was dismissed for a two-ball duck, letting his fans down in this all-important clash.
Since being picked by RCB in the IPL 2025 auction, Tim David hasn't quite lived up to the expectations with the bat. So, his poor form might be a concern for the Bengaluru-based franchise, considering his importance for the team.
