Phil Salt's wicket in ILT20 (Source:@ilt20/X.com)
Phil Salt is known for his power-hitting at the top of the order, and has been doing well both at the international and franchise T20 leagues. He played a big role in KKR's title win last year, but the franchise did not retain him and the English opener will play for RCB in the 2025 edition.
However, his association with Knight Riders has not ended completely, and is playing for the sister franchise Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20. He scored 71 off just 49 balls against Desert Vipers on 12th of January, but failed big time against Sharjah Warriorz in the sixth match of the season.
Adam Milne Shows His Class With New Ball
His off-stump was blown away by a lovely delivery from Kiwi Adam Milne and it came on the second delivery of the third over. It was a full delivery, starting from off and as Phil Salt went for a drive, the ball came in and sneaked between bat and pad to send the off-stump for a nice long ride as he departed for two off just seven balls.
It was quite a dismissal for a player of the calibre of Phil Salt and it would surely hurt his pride a bit. However, the wicket displayed once again the talent of Adam Milne whose career has been hampered by injuries over the years.
After the wicket of Phil Salt, Adam Milne cleaned up Kyle Mayers with an even beautiful delivery and it was classic new-ball bowling by the talented speedster. Sharjah Warriors have started this season with a win while Knight Riders ended up losing their first encounter, something which they would like to change in this clash.
