In a stunning display of resilience and aggression, Mohammad Rizwan single-handedly countered Australia's dominant bowling attack during the third Test in Sydney. With Pakistan reeling at 47/4, Rizwan's audacious innings of 88 runs off 103 balls injected vitality into his team's performance. The wicket-keeper batter's innings included an entertaining array of shots, with 10 boundaries and 2 enormous sixes, leaving the Australian bowlers bewildered.

One of the memorable sixes came off the bowling of paceman Josh Hazlewood. Rizwan, known for his legside dominance, executed an unconventional mix of a pull and a slog sweep to dispatch the ball over fine leg. The SCG crowd was left in awe as the ball soared over the fence, marking the first six for Pakistan in the innings. Hazlewood, too, was visibly stunned and impressed by Rizwan's audacious stroke, a rare sight in the traditional format of the game.

Rizwan's fearless approach also saw him dispatch veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon for a thunderous six later in the innings. Despite Pakistan being on the brink of getting all out on Day 1, Rizwan's spirited innings at least ensured a total beyond 200, providing a silver lining in an otherwise challenging series for Pakistan.

As the Australia captain, Pat Cummins, secured another brilliant five-wicket haul, Pakistan finished their innings at 313/9.
