Naseem Shah's six against England (Source:@TheRealPCB/X.com)
Naseem Shah is one of the most talented young bowlers in world cricket, but he is a handy batter too and has played some crucial knocks for Pakistan in the past. Now, in the first Test match between Pakistan and England in Multan, he is once again showing his talent with the bat after his promotion as a night-watchman on the opening day of the Test.
Naseem played just three balls as a night watchman. but in the morning session of Day 2, he is showing his might and is building a solid stand with Saud Shakeel. He also smashed Shoaib Bashir for a six on the second delivery of the 97th over and it was quite an authoritative six as he used his feet to great effect.
Naseem Shah Shows Aggressive Intent
It was a full delivery on middle from Bashir and Naseem danced down the track to tonk it over long on. It was a clean hit without much fuss and he then smashed other spinner Jack Leach for a similar six. Naseem Shah eventually fell for a score of 33 in the 106th over, but he did his job to perfection and Pakistan are all set to post a massive first innings total.
Saud Shakeel, at the other end, also crossed his fifty while on Day 1, Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood smashed centuries to put Pakistan in driver's seat. Shan Masood fell for 151 while Shafique scored 102 runs. Babar Azam though could not convert his start against an inexperienced English bowling attack and with pitch turning out to be quite flat, bowlers are expected to struggle in this Test in the upcoming days.
