The Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi is all set to host the second T20I match of the three-match series between India and Bangladesh on October 9. After a resounding victory in the first T20I, where India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets, fans are eagerly awaiting the next showdown.

In the opening match held in Gwalior, the Indian team showcased their dominance over the Bangla Tigers, excelling in all departments of the game. The win by 7 wickets, with 49 balls to spare, highlighted the challenges Bangladesh faces, particularly with their batting in the T20 format. With this victory under their belts, the Men in Blue will be looking to seal the series in New Delhi.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to field first in Gwalior, a decision that paid off well for the Indian side. The spotlight was on Mayank Yadav, who returned from injury after the 2024 IPL season. He started his international career with a maiden over and claimed his first wicket. Arshdeep Singh also delivered a solid performance, taking two wickets in his opening spell, while Varun Chakaravarthy made a strong comeback with three wickets for just 31 runs in his four overs. Washington Sundar and Hardik Pandya contributed as well, helping to bowl out Bangladesh for  127 runs in 19.5 overs.

Chasing the target, India got off to a fast start, reaching 25 runs without loss in just 1.5 overs. However, a mix-up between Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson led to Abhishek being run out. Suryakumar made a quick impact, scoring 29 off 14 balls before being dismissed. Despite losing a couple of wickets, Hardik Pandya and debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy ensured a smooth finish, steering India to victory.
