West Indies are taking on the United States in a must-win game at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The West Indian skipper, Rovman Powell, won the toss and invited the United States to bat first.
With rain being around ahead of the game, Powell would have expected his bowlers to take full advantage of the conditions and wrap up the US batting quickly. However, the US batters showed great resilience and made the home team work hard for their rewards.
The first blow came early for West Indies when Roston Chase took a brilliant catch of Steven Taylor off Andre Russell's bowling. After this, Nitish Kumar and Andries Gous stuck together a partnership of 48 runs and stabilised the innings for the US. Just when the partnership was looking dangerous for the West Indies, Gudakesh Motie provided Powell relief.

On the third delivery of the seventh over, Gudakesh Motie bowled a full delivery at the off-stump line. Nitish Kumar was looking to play the reverse sweep on it but missed it, so it was wrapped in the pads. There was an appeal for the leg before, and the umpire responded in the affirmative. Kumar had a discussion with the non-striker and took the review. But the ball tracking showed three reds, thereby ending Kumar's stay in the middle.
