Andre Russell has a habit of leaving bowlers clueless, and when he is on fire, be careful if you’re witnessing the game from the stands. On Wednesday (April 3), during KKR’s IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals, the man who was at the receiving end of his early carnage was Rasikh Salam.

After Sunil Narine produced a blockbuster show in Vizag, Andre Russell was promoted to No. 4 after they opted to bat. And Russell wasted little time before beginning his carnage, and the way he smashed Rasikh Salam during the 15th over of KKR’s innings was just a trailer of his vintage form.

Rasikh Salam, who previously represented KKR, bowled a low full toss around the off stump to Russell. It was a bread-and-butter shot for the big Jamaican, as he smashed over cow corner for an 82-metre six. Although the distance was not too far, the ball went up above the night sky like it was not coming to land.

At the time of writing this, Russell is going berserk, batting on 38* off 15 balls, whereas Shreyas Iyer is batting on 6* off 7 balls. KKR, as of now, are 218/3 after 16.4 overs.
