India's final T20I of the three-match home series kept the fans captivated through its dramatic twists and turns. After opting to bat first, India posted a mammoth 212-run total, thanks to flamboyant knocks from Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh. In response, Afghanistan ensured a tremendous turnaround in the game, as valiant batting efforts from Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib helped them tie the high-scoring thriller.

However, what grabbed the attention of the fans was a controversial run during Afghanistan's innings in the first Super Over.

After collecting 13 runs off the first five balls, ace Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi missed Mukesh Kumar's final delivery, as the ball went straight to Sanju Samson. However, as it was the final ball, Nabi and Gurbaz tried to steal a single through byes.

Samson's throw hit Nabi's legs, with the ball being deflected towards long-on. The Afghan batters took advantage of the situation and ran again to add two more runs to their tally.

However, the act didn't go well with the Indian players, as they expressed their frustration on the field. Indian captain Rohit Sharma, in particular, vented out his anger on the umpires as well as Nabi, who justified his action by calling it unintentional from his end.

As per the rule, the batter is eligible to run in such a situation if he doesn't have any role in deflecting the ball. So, whatever happened on the field was legal, and Nabi didn't use unfair means for the sake of winning.
