The Trinbago Knight Riders are facing the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the 20th match of the CPL 2024. This match is being played at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain in Trinidad, West Indies.

Falcons eye a win to keep alive an outside chance for the play-offs

This game bears little significance as far as the two teams' qualification scenarios are concerned. The Knights will, however, be eager to win it to stay within the top two spots in the points table.

On the other hand, the Falcons have had a dreadful debut season in the league. They have won only a couple of games out of their eight outings. However, they still have an outside chance to make it to the play-offs. The Falcons need to win their remaining game and then wait for a couple of results to go their way.

Sunil Narine's miserable run continues with the bat

Chris Green, the captain of the Falcons, won the toss ahead of the game and put the Knights into bat. The Kings were hoping for a good start from their two openers, Sunil Narine and Shaqkere Parris,  to have a solid foundation for a formidable total.

Sunil Narine, the veteran West Indian all-rounder, has been opening the innings of the Knight Riders throughout the season. However, he has had little impact at the position and has had a miserable time with the bat. His miseries continued in this game, too, as the left-arm pacer from Pakistan, Mohammad Amir, cleaned him up in the first over of the game.

On the fifth delivery of the first over, Amir bowled a fullish delivery at the off and middle stump. The ball nipped back in after pitching and beating Sunil Narine's defense. The batter was trying to work the ball away to the onside, but he was completely fooled by the late movement and had to see his stumps shattered.
