Australian spearhead Mitchell Starc showcased his exemplary bowling skills, as he dismantled the English top order in the post-tea session on day four of the Lord's Test. After getting rid of England's in-form opener Zak Crawley, Starc delivered an absolute peach that beat Ollie Pope to uproot his middle stump.

Riding on Usman Khawaja's fighting half-century and useful contributions from several other batters, Australia posted 279 runs on the board, setting a daunting 371-run target for the Englishmen. However, England got off to a horrible start, as Starc removed Crawley before bamboozling Pope with a booming in-swinger.

After starting his third over with an outgoing delivery, the Aussie speedster bowled a magical delivery, which swung prodigiously to beat Pope on his defence and shatter his middle stump. While Starc celebrated the dismissal jubilantly, Pope made his way back to the dugout with disappointment written all over his face.

Starc's twin strikes opened the floodgates for England, who lost two more wickets- Joe Root and Harry Brook- to Pat Cummins in quick succession. Thus, the Australian duo's scintillating spell left England tottering at 45 for four in 12.5 overs.

However, Ben Duckett and skipper Ben Stokes are battling it out in the middle for England. As of writing, the hosts are 67 for four, with Duckett and Stokes batting on 20* and 15*, respectively.
