Riding on pacers' brilliance, New Zealand got off to a dream start in their ongoing World Cup clash against Bangladesh in Chennai. After Trent Boult dismissed Litton Das in the first delivery of the game, Lockie Ferguson got rid of Tanzid Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz to push the Tigers on the back foot. Miraz's wicket was much-needed for the BlackCaps, as he looked rock-solid during his brief stay.

The incident occurred in the 12th over when New Zealand captain Kane Williamson turned up to Ferguson to break the stand between Miraz and Najmul Hossain Shanto. After bowling three dot balls, Ferguson dropped it short, with Miraz attempting for a wild hook shot.

However, he miscued it, as the ball went straight to Matt Henry, stationed at fine leg. The ace Kiwi pacer didn't fumble, holding on to the catch and dismissing Miraz in this process.

After his departure, Bangladesh lost the crucial wicket of Najmul Hossain Shanto, who got out to part-time spinner Glenn Phillips. As a result of New Zealand's razor-sharp bowling, the Tigers are reeling at 61 for four in 14 overs, with the experienced duo of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim unbeaten in the middle.
