In the 11th match of the ongoing Big Bash League 2024, the Sydney Sixers are hosting the Melbourne Stars at the famous Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The Sixers won the bat flip and chose to bowl first, but that turned out to be a mistake. They initially dismissed Thomas Rogers for 12 runs, but Ben Duckett played brilliantly, scoring 68 runs before being dismissed by Jackson Bird.

Todd Murphy Strikes Again Vs MLS

Marcus Stoinis came in at number 5, joining Glenn Maxwell after Sam Harper was sent back by Todd Murphy for just 12 runs. However, Stoinis couldn’t stick around for long. After Maxwell was dismissed, Stoinis was also bowled out, making his way back to the pavilion after scoring 20 runs off 19 balls.

This happened in the 15th over of the Melbourne Stars' innings when Todd Murphy struck with a brilliant delivery. He bowled a good-length ball at 91.6 km/h on the stumps. Stoinis tried to move to the leg side and hit it down the ground but missed completely, and the ball hit the top of his leg stump, sending him back to the dressing room.

Marcus Stoinis was not seen happy as he was visibly seen disappointed after Murphy's clever delivery. Meanwhile, this was Murphy’s second wicket, leaving half of the Stars' team already out.

At the time of writing, the Melbourne Stars are at 177 for 5 in 17 overs, with Tom Curran and Hilton Cartwright at the crease.
