Ireland have had a tough time during the 13th match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County Stadium against Canada on Friday.

Ireland won the toss and opted to bowl first, with the Irish bowlers restricting Canada to 137 runs in 20 overs. However, this target proved challenging for Ireland as they lost wickets at regular intervals.

During Ireland's innings, Lorcan Tucker came in after Ireland skipper Paul Stirling departed, having scored 9 runs. Tucker, aiming to chase down the score, fell victim to Nicholas Kirton and Saad Bin Zafar's partnership.

The pivotal moment occurred in the 10th over of the match when Saad Bin Zafar bowled a good-length delivery to Tucker. Tucker made room for himself and chopped it to backward point.

However, when Tucker went for a risky run, the fielder, Kirton, grabbed it on the bounce in seconds and threw it straight to Saad Bin Zafar, who quickly collected it and whipped the bails off in a flash.

As soon as the bails were off, the appeal for a run-out was made. The screen replays confirmed that Tucker was well short of his ground, with the ball just in contact with the bowler's end when the bails were removed.
