Klaasen Six- (Source:@ScreenGrab)
In the SA20 2025 match between Joburg Super Kings and Durban's Super Giants at the Kingsmead Stadium, the game went down the wire. The Kings, batting first, put 169 runs on the board.
In reply, the Super Giants lost wickets at regular intervals, and eyes were on Heinrich Klaasen to seal a win. Talking about Klaasen, he registered a duck. Klaasen started his innings carefully and then unleashed himself against Tabraiz Shamsi.
Klaasen Takes On Shamsi
Notably, Klaasen took on Shami and whacked him for a monstrous six that landed on the roads of Durban. The incident occurred in the 11th over of the match, when Klaasen hit Shamsi for an 87-metre six that hit the roof of the stadium and landed straight on the road.
Interestingly, a fan passing by took the match ball and kept it with him. Watch the shot and incident here.
Heinrich Klaasen Looks To Get In Form For Champions Trophy 2025
Klaasen is in solid touch with the bat as he was South Africa's best performer with the bat against Pakistan in the recently concluded ODI and T20I series. Thus, Klaasen would look at the SA20 2025 as a dress rehearsal for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 that is all set to begin from February 19 in Pakistan.
Also, the IPL begins from March 21 and Heinrich has been retained by SRH for a whopping 23 crores, the most any franchise has spent for a player in retentions. Talking about the Dubran's Super Giants vs Joburg Super Kings' match, the Men in Yellow registered a 28-runs win.
