Lucknow Super Giants' skipper KL Rahul recorded a decent outing in his side's ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders. Opening the batting for LSG, Rahul struck 39 runs off just 27 balls, studded with three fours and two glorious sixes.

Although Rahul hit several scintillating shots, his flat six off Andre Russell grabbed the limelight owing to the class it involved.

The incident occurred during the eleventh over of LSG's innings when KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer brought ace all-rounder Andre Russell to break the consolidating stand between Rahul and Ayush Badoni.

However, the experienced Indian batter welcomed the Windies talisman in style, hammering him for a gorgeous six on the first ball.

It was a short-of-good-length delivery from Russell, as Rahul pummelled it using his wrists over the off side field. Despite the deep backward fielder's valiant dive, the ball sailed over the fence for a six.

However, Russell accomplished his revenge soon after, dismissing Rahul with a length ball on his very next delivery.

LSG lost another huge wicket, with Varun Chakravarthy getting rid of Marcus Stoinis in his second over.

As of writing, the visitors were in a spot of bother, placed at 113 for five in 15 overs, with Nicholas Pooran and Krunal Pandya unbeaten in the middle.
