Jonty Rhodes is arguably the best fielder the world has ever seen. Speed, reaction time, accuracy, athleticism all these have been the hallmark of his fielding efforts over the years and though the man has retired more than two decades ago, he still has all the ingredients to be called the finest fielder in the cricketing world.

Jonty Rhodes Impress With Diving Effort Amidst Aussie Carnage

He is now 55-year-old but is still turning heads in International Masters League and did that again in the game between South Africa and Australia. The Kangaroos dominated the proceedings after being asked to bat first and Shane Watson backed his century against India with another century.

The Aussies ended with a score of 260 on the board, but amidst the onslaught, Jonty Rhodes did not fail to impress with his fielding masterclass. On the third ball of the 19th over, Shane Watson slammed a full delivery down the track and it seemed that the ball will run away for a boundary.

Jonty Rhodes though had other plans. He was at long off and ran all the way towards his right in a flash, and then dived full length to stop the ball with great savage. It showed his class as a fielder again, and few days back, he was involved in a mesmerising fielding effort against India. Both the effort were such that it would even make the best of the active fielders in the world in awe.

Overall, Australia are proving too hot to handle again, and after a dominating batting performance, their bowlers have also come up with goods against a struggling Proteas batting line-up.
