The second season of Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2024 is now up and running at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, and Gorakhpur Lions absolutely dominated the game with a complete performance against Noida Super Kings.

Lions scored 218 while batting first and in reply, Noida Super Kings lost three wickets for just three runs, almost putting the Kings out of the game in the third over of the run-chase. The third wicket was of Rahul Raj and it was courtesy of a brilliant direct hit from Saurabh Kumar which brought back memories of direct hits by Ravindra Jadeja.

Rahul Raj made room early and Yash Dayal followed him with a length delivery on his pads. Raj just about managed to push it to mid off and took off for a single. However, Saurabh Kumar was quick to reach to the ball and scored a direct hit at the bowler's end, leaving Raj short of his crease.

Mohammad Sharim, The Lone Fighter For Noida Super Kings

Noida Super Kings just could not recover from the early blows, and it was only Mohammad Sharim who showed some fight with 56 off just 25 balls. He hit seven sixes in his knock, but they were eventually bowled out for just 127, and lost the game by a huge margin of 91 runs.
