Andre Russell is regarded as one of the finest T20 batters to grace the game. Hailed for his incredible ability to smack humongous sixes at will, Russell will play his first game of the CPL 2023 tonight when Trinbago Knight Riders will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the third match of the tournament. 

However, as it seems, the swashbuckling all-rounder is well prepared for the fascinating battle and all set to ensure a winning start for the Knight Riders. In a video posted by CPL's official handle on X.com (formerly Twitter), Russell is seen hitting massive sixes in the nets.

In the video, Russell can be seen toiling hard in the nets and dispatching spinners into the stands with the utmost ease. He seems to be focused on hitting through the line and targeting the V-region, the area between long-off to long-on, to demoralise the net bowlers. Considering his onslaught, we reckon it's going to be an off day for Guyana's bowlers in the game scheduled at 7.30 PM IST. 

Talking about TKR, the Kieron Pollard-led outfit had a horrendous run in the CPL 2022, finishing as the bottom-sitters with just three wins in ten appearances. Therefore, they will start from scratch and try their heart out to get a winning start to this season.
