Imran Tahir had also dismissed Rivaldo Clarke earlier in the innings to claim sensational figures of 2-22 from three overs. His spell, coupled with timely breakthroughs from Gudakesh Motie (3-42) and Moeen Ali (2-16) helped Guyana Amazon Warriors keep Barbados Royals down to just 172-9 to secure a huge 47-run win for themselves.

Earlier in the match, the Warriors mounted 219-8 courtesies of splendid half-centuries from Shai Hope (71 off 37) and Shimron Hetmyer (57 off 34). The outcome helped Imran Tahir and co. to register their third win in succession this season, and to remain as the second-best side on the CPL 2024 points table after St Lucia Kings.
