Harry Brook produced a scintillating end-overs assault to provide England a much-needed lift with a comeback victory of the series in the third T20I against the West Indies on Friday (December 16) in Grenada.

The extravagant English middle-order batter hammered an unbeaten 31 off just seven deliveries to propel the tourists past the Caribbean men's daunting 222/6 in 20 overs.

Chasing the imposing target of 223, Brook confronted West Indies' death-overs specialist Andre Russell with great bravado and unfazed attitude and dispatched him for 21 runs in the 20th over to seal his team's first victory for the five-match series.

Even when Brook walked in at the fall of the third wicket with England 186/3 at the end of the 18th over, the Calypso Kings were firm favourites to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.

However, it was the three lions' time to pull one their way, thanks to their rising young prodigy, who entered the beast mode and clobbered the ball away for 1 four and 4 maximums.

Beating the West Indies at their own game, Brook nudged an initial yorker from Russell past the fine-leg fielder for four runs to bring the equation down to 17 off 5 and shifted the pressure back to the bowler.

Anticipating another attempted yorker, Brook stood deep inside his crease and this time hammered the ball over the deep cover fielder for a maximum that tilted the scales slightly in England's favour.

The top-class shot seemed to have finally ruffled Russell's feather as he then delivered a full toss on waist high, which the Englishman was happy to hit with disdain over the square leg fielder for one more maximum.

With the equation now 5 off 3 in a dramatic turnaround, it was a matter of just one more big shot for Brook and the elegant No.5 smartly took a two off the next ball and then sliced one over the deep-third region with such power that the ball sailed over the ropes for six.

Brook nailed the stiff challenge after walking in a precarious spot and successfully achieved what is now the highest run-chase against the two-time T20 World Cup champions
