Hardik Pandya is known for his all-round skills and has the ability to win the matches both with his bat and ball. However, he is a gun-fielder too, and he displayed all of those skills in the second T20I against Bangladesh in Delhi. He grabbed a stunning catch of Rishad Hossain which left everyone awestruck at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and sinked Bangladesh further.
It was the 14th over of Bangladesh's innings. They were struggling big time in their run-chase of 222 as the score was 93 for 6. Hossain was batting on 9 and decided to take on Varun Chakaravarthy. He slogged a full delivery to the cow corner and it seemed that the ball will find the gap between the long on and deep mid-wicket fielder. However, Pandya at deep mid-wicket had other views. He kept running to his left, dived full-length and grabbed a stunning catch.
Nitish Reddy Shines As An All-Rounder
It was a superb piece of athleticism from the all-rounder and it shows how much Indian cricket values fielding in this modern era. Overall, Bangladesh could muster only 135 runs in their 20 overs and lost the game by 86 runs. It was a commanding win for India courtesy a stunning all-round performance from Nitish Reddy.
The all-rounder came out to bat at number 4 with India losing early wickets while batting first. He slammed 74 off just 34 balls and his partnership with Rinku Singh took India to a massive total. Hardik also played a handy cameo, while with the ball too, Reddy picked two wickets and has made a big statement in just his second international match.
