The Ekana Stadium wasn't just a battlefield of bat and ball during Match 29 of the ICC World Cup 2023 between India and England; it was an arena painted with emotion, passion, and national pride.

'Vande Mataram' echoed throughout the Ekana stadium during IND vs ENG clash

As the sun set and the stadium lights took over, an extraordinary moment unfurled. Thousands of voices, in perfect harmony, filled the stadium, singing the iconic 'Vande Mataram'. The impromptu choir was complimented by a mesmerising light show, painting the stadium in tricolour hues.

This goosebump-inducing spectacle soon found its way to the world, with a video capturing the moment going viral across social media platforms. It wasn't just a game; it was an experience, an emotion.

But the day was not without its roller-coasters. English captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first, inviting India to set a score for the first time in the tournament.

The Indian innings, though, was a bit of a mixed bag. The famed batting lineup showed glimpses of brilliance, with Rohit Sharma producing a sublime 87 and Suryakumar Yadav unleashing a tempestuous 49. KL Rahul's solid 39 was the only other notable contribution as the English bowlers ran through the Indian lineup, halting them at 229/9.

Yet, as the old saying goes, 'It's not over till it's over.' The Indian pacers, led by the fiery duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, unleashed havoc. England, finding themselves in a precarious situation at 84/6 after 25 overs, has a mountain to climb. With Liam Livingstone and Chris Woakes in the middle, they need 146 runs from the remaining 150 balls.
