The ILT20 2025 witnessed the spectacle of cricket as the Desert Vipers clashed with the Sharjah Warriors in Dubai for the 15th match of the tournament. The match, filled with breathtaking performances, culminated in a dominant 10-wicket win for the Vipers, with Fakhar Zaman stealing the show in the chase.

Returning to form in grand style, Fakhar Zaman showcased his batting prowess with an unbeaten knock that left fans and opponents in awe. Known for his explosive batting, Zaman took charge from the start, treating the crowd to an exhibition of boundaries and sixes, reaffirming his status as a fearsome top-order batter after the poor show against Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

Fakhar Zaman Commands Over Warriors Bowlers

Zaman bashed the Warriors' bowlers left, right and centre. However, the highlight of his 71-run innings came when he hammered a monstrous six off Junaid Siddique. Coming around the wicket, Siddique delivered a fuller-length ball, hoping to challenge the left-hander.

However, Fakhar leaned into the delivery, using his full power to send it soaring over the deep mid-wicket boundary. The ball travelled miles into the stands, leaving spectators in disbelief and commentators raving about the sheer brilliance of the shot.

Zaman obliterated the Warriors bowlers with his massive 71 off 39 balls as his innings was laced with 4 sixes and 7 boundaries. Taking charge of the game early, Zaman’s impeccable timing and brute force were on full display.

Desert Vipers Dominate Sharjah Warriors With 10-Wicket Victory

The match itself was a one-sided affair. The Vipers first dismantled the Warriors' batting lineup, restricting them to a meagre 91 runs, thanks to stellar bowling from Mohammad Amir and Wanindu Hasaranga. Amir set the tone with three early wickets, while Hasaranga cleaned up the middle order with an economical and devastating spell of 3/10.

In response, the Vipers chased down the target with 10 overs to spare. Fakhar Zaman’s fireworks and Alex Hales’ composed support ensured a smooth and emphatic victory by 10 wickets.
