Whenever the India women's team needs a wicket, they always go to Deepti Sharma and the India spinner never disappoints. In the ongoing match Vs Australia, when Grace Harris started to look threatening, skipper Harmanpreet rolled the dice and gave the ball to Deepti.

The off-spinner showed her class and picked up the important wicket of Harris to bring India right back in the contest. Australia lost a couple of early wickets, courtesy some brilliant bowling by Renuka Singh Thakur.

However, with Grace Harris in the middle, Australia always fancied their chances to post a strong total on the board. On a sluggish Sharjah track, she started slowly, but picked up the pace as the game progresses. 

India needed her wicket and it was provided by Deepti Sharma, who bowled slightly short and with the mid-wicket up inside the circle, Harris miscued her pull shot and found the fielder there. The interesting moment occurred after the wicket, when Deepti gave an angry look as Harris walked back to the pavilion.

India need to win to qualify for semis

India have a simple task on their hands - win the match and qualify for the semis. They lost their opening contest against New Zealand by 58-runs and that dented India's net run-rate. Following which, the team defeated Pakistan and Sri Lanka in back-to-back contests.

In case, India lose the match, they'll hope its not by a big margin, and their hopes will rest on the shoulders of Pakistan side, who need to win big against New Zealand, so that India hold a superior net run-rate and qualify.

The Harmanpreet Kaur led side will hope that her batters can deliver the goods in this crucial encounter.
