The stakes were high in a crucial clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl first, limiting RCB to 187/9 in their 20 overs.

Rajat Patidar shone for RCB with a fifty, while Ishant Sharma clinched three wickets for DC.

However, the spotlight fell on DC's star opener, David Warner, as fans hoped for a solid start to their chase. But disappointment struck early for the DC.

In the very first over, Warner's return ended abruptly. Facing Swapnil Singh's delivery, Warner attempted a slog sweep but failed to get enough elevation. The ball landed straight into the hands of Will Jacks at long-on, marking Warner's departure with just 1 run to his name.

This early setback piled pressure on DC, who were struggling at 28/3 after 3 overs, with Warner joined by Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel (wk). With Rishabh Pant absent, DC's run chase appeared to be a challenging task.

The unexpected dismissal of Warner sent shockwaves through the DC camp, setting the tone for a tense battle ahead as RCB aimed to defend their total.
