Riding on batters' stupendous performance, Sri Lanka have claimed the driving seat in their ongoing Test match against Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

After posting mammoth 531 runs on the board in their first innings, the Lankan lions restricted the hosts to a paltry 178-run total, as Asitha Fernando claimed a sensational four-fer.

However, the Tigers fought back well in the second innings, with Hasan Mahmud's clinical four-wicket haul reducing the visitors to 102 for six at stumps on day three.

Meanwhile, apart from Mahmud's bowling exploits, an incident that grabbed the fans' attention was a funny fielding moment involving the Bangladesh players.

In a fascinating yet funny incident, five Bangladesh fielders were spotted running after the ball to prevent it from breaching the boundary line.

The moment came during the 21st over of the Sri Lankan innings when Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto brought Mahmud into the attack in pursuit of another breakthrough.

After conceding a single on his first delivery, Mahmud bowled a short-of-good-length delivery to Prabath Jayasuriya, who guided the ball perfectly through the gully region.

As the ball travelled quickly towards the third-man fence, five Bangladesh fielders stationed in the offside ran together to stop it before the boundary line. The wide gully fielder emerged as the winner of the unofficial race, collecting the ball and throwing it to one of his teammates.

The incident amused fans as well as the commentators, who shared some laughter with the mic on.

Regarding the match, Sri Lanka are in a commanding position, having taken a colossal lead of 455 runs. They will resume their innings on day 4 with 102 runs on the board and Angelo Mathews batting alongside Jayasuriya.
