In a critical juncture of the IPL 2024, Match 52 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced a challenging phase in their pursuit of a modest target of 148 set by Gujarat Titans (GT).

Amidst the noise from the passionate home crowd, RCB's chase seemed on track until a sudden collapse turned the tide against them.

Cameron Green's struggle continued as he fell for just one

The game took a dramatic turn as RCB's middle order crumbled, losing four quick wickets after a promising start.

It was under these trying circumstances that Cameron Green walked to the crease at number six, joining the seasoned Virat Kohli in the middle. The stage was perfectly set for Green to silence his critics and deliver a performance to remember.

However, the pressure and high stakes of the chase got the better of Green. Known for his explosive batting but struggling with form, Green could not resist the temptation to go after a length delivery from Joshua Little.

Attempting to impose his dominance, Green threw the kitchen sink at a ball that was angling away from him, only to edge it towards the third man.

The ball soared towards deep third man where Shahrukh Khan, positioned perfectly for just such a mistake, took a sharp catch to send Green back to the pavilion for a paltry score of 1 off just 2 balls. This dismissal added another chapter to Green's ongoing woes with the bat, leaving RCB in a dismal position.

As the match progressed, the departure of Virat Kohli shortly thereafter further dampened the spirits of the home crowd. With the scoreboard reading a shaky 133/6 after 12 overs, it is left to Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh to finish the chase.

The duo faces the dual challenge of managing the creeping pressure while keeping the scoreboard ticking, as RCB needs just 16 runs from the remaining overs while GT eyes the remaining 4 wickets for a dramatic win.
