Team India kicked off their ICC World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia on Sunday, October 8th at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first.

While the Indian players were preparing to take the field, a fan breached the pitch, came onto the ground, and even had an encounter with the former India captain, Virat Kohli, before being forcefully removed by the ground staff.

However, this particular fan is no ordinary enthusiast; it’s YouTuber Daniel Jarvis, popularly known as 'Jarvo 69', an England-based Indian fan who previously grabbed headlines for breaching the field during the 2021 England vs India Test series.

During that series, Jarvo managed to breach security not once, but twice - first at the Lord's test when England faced off against India, and then again at Headingley. After the Headingley incident, they slapped him with a lifetime ban from that ground.

Earlier, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, at the toss, confirmed that Shubman Gill would be unavailable for the ongoing match against Australia after testing positive for dengue. As a replacement, Ishan Kishan will join Rohit Sharma at the top of the order for India.
