New Zealand are making a slow but gradual comeback in the second Test of the series against England. After a good start to match, Harry Brook's quick fire century put on the wrong foot. However, a couple of wickets have brought the game back in balance.

The duo stitched together a partnership of 174 runs and put England in the driver's seat. But the Kiwis were not ready to give up. Ollie Pope's wicket gave them a sneak into the game, which they widened by following it up with the dismissal of Ben Stokes very soon.

Ben Stokes Opened Up By William O'Rourke

The English Test skipper did not look at ease from the time he walked in. The movement of the deck was troubling him and soon his defence was exposed by William O'Rourke. On the fifth delivery of the 42nd over, O'Rourke came round the wicket and bowled good length delivery around the off stump line. The ball straightened after pitching and left Stokes squared up. The ball took the outside edge of the batter and landed into the safe hands of Tom Latham at second slip.

Notably, in the last Test Ben Stokes scored a brilliant 80 off 146. However, besides that he has struggled with the bat in the purest format. This knock adds one more to his run of inconsistency in Test cricket.
