After bowlers led the attack for Pakistan on Day 2 - bowling Australia all-out for 318, captain Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafique took the charge in the hand. The batting duo stitched a vital 90-run stand for the second wicket, but skipper Pat Cummins came roaring when things were heading out of Australia's hands.

Cummins, first, got the lucky number of a well-set Shafique on 62 via a stunning caught and bowled. In the following over, the Aussie skipper dismantled Babar Azam with a peach of a delivery, which he executed by setting Pakistan's numero-uno man.

Babar was initially forced to play his punches off the backfoot as Cummins bowled the first two deliveries shorter and outside the off-stump. The third and the wicket delivery was sprayed slightly fuller and into the woods; as a result, the former Pakistan captain got puzzled and tangled into his crease.

Babar Azam's first innings of the Boxing Day Test was seven years old, as he could only add 1 run to his tally. Thus far, he has scored just 36 runs in three innings, getting dismissed by Cummins twice in the series.

Nevertheless, the current Pakistan skipper is still holding the forte at the MCG. As of writing, the Men in Blue have got to 141-3 with an hour's play still to go on Day 2 of the second Test, trailing behind by 177 runs.
