Axar Patel is one of the finest fielders in Indian cricket and every now and then, he ends up producing stunning fielding efforts. In the match 40 of IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans, he displayed his class as a fielder yet again with a stunning catch to get rid of well-set Wriddhiman Saha.

Saha scored 39 off 25 balls and took GT off to a flier with some beautiful strokeplay in the Powerplay. He did slow down a bit after the Powerplay and when in the 10th over he tried to break the shackles, Axar Patel and his glorious fielding effort came in his way. It was a short delivery, outside off by Kuldeep Yadav and Saha slapped it aerially towards the extra cover region.

Axar Patel though jumped with great ease and plucked out a stunner out of thin air to put DC in a commanding total.

After the wicket of Saha, Azmatullah Omarzai also departed in the next over and soon Sai Sudharsan fell in the 13th over. Earlier, Delhi Capitals scored 224 in the first innings with Rishabh Pant smashing 88 off just 43 balls. 

Apart from his fielding heroics, Axar Patel also scored a valuable 66 off 43 balls and is surely making a big claim for the all-rounder's spot in T20 World Cup.
