Just when Ajinkya Rahane was finding his feet in the middle against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Krunal Pandya brings his best weapon and knocked over the stumps to push Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on the back-foot.

The CSK side had a horror start after being put into bat by Kl Rahul. They lost Rachin Ravindra for a first ball duck and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, too, failed to impress and was sent packing for a scratchy looking 13-ball 17.

With both Rachin and Gaikwad struggling, Rahane took the onus and was the chief aggressor in the first 10 overs. He smacked a couple of big hits and was all set to bring up his fifty, when disaster struck.

Krunal gets Rahane's big wicket

In the 9th over, Krunal bowled a quicker and straighter delivery and it tempted Rahane to go for a big hit. He tried to pull it hard on the leg side, but got no connection as the ball sneaked past the bat and shattered the stumps to bring joy on Krunal's face. Rahane was eventually dismissed for 36.

Talking about the two teams, CSK are comfortably sitting at the third position in the points table. However, LSG, after a fine start have lost back-to-back games and are at the fifth position in the table.
