Bangladesh and Fortune Barishal teammates Tamim Iqbal and Taijul Islam were seen in a pickle during their game against Rangapur Riders in Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 (BPL). Captain Tamim was caught on camera hurling abusing and almost throwing is cap in anger after Taijul's delivery resulted in a six.

The incident occured during the 8th over, when Iftikhar Ahmed and Tawfique Khan were out in the middle. Khan slammed a beautiful maximum after Islam bowled a flighted delivery around off. The ball sailed over the deep extra cover fence for a maximum. While, Taijul Islam looked fairly clueless after the delivery was hit for a six. 

The camera quickly panned on Tamim Iqbal, who looked visibly frustrated at his teammate. He is seen angrily walking and expressing his disappointment while mumbling some strong words. 


Rangpur Riders Claim Victory Over Tamim And Co

In a thrilling match at Sylhet, Rangpur Riders remained unbeaten this season , largely due to the captain's knock by Nurul Hasan. Fortune Barishal set a target of 198 with the heroics of Kyle Mayers, who top-scored with 61* off 29 balls,. He was supported by quick-fire contributions from Faheem Ashraf and Towhid Hridoy. Kamrul Islam Rabbi claimed two wickets for the Riders. 

As Rangpur Riders pursued the target, the match took on a dramatic turn. Starting off erratically and losing early wickets , they returned to the game with a strong performance, thanks to the aggressive batting of Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah. The match reached a tense climax , with Hasan taking charge. 

His performance was nothing short of spectacular, finishing with 26* off 6 balls after blasting 6 successive boundaries . With 26 runs still needed off 6 balls, he sealed the victory , sending Rangpur's record to a perfect unbeaten streak.
