The 23rd match of CPL 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana has started well for the visitors with three wickets in the initial ten overs. Amir got the first wicket of Raymon Reifer, and it was quite an interesting phase of the game where Amir was at the face of the batter constantly, telling him how to play and sledging him in the process.

Reifer hit Amir for a boundary on the first delivery of the fifth over and was beaten on the second delivery. Amir then hit back at the batter, telling him to play properly which probably got into the head of Reifer and he went for a wild slog on the next delivery. He only managed a big top edge though off a back-of-a-length delivery and the ball went high in the air towards backward point where Hayden Walsh Jr. took an easy catch.

Azam Khan Fails To Convert His Start

It was a pale end to a poor knock from Reifer in his comeback match as he only managed five runs off 17 balls. After his wicket, Gudakesh Motie was promoted to number 3, but the move backfired and he could score just eight runs off 12 deliveries. Azam Khan though batted well in difficult batting conditions, but could not carry on his good start and lost his wicket in the 10th over by Hassan Khan.

This is a must-win game for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and they have to win it by a huge margin to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive. For Guyana, this is a chance to notch up their second consecutive win at their home ground and boost their chances of making it to the Qualifier 1 of this 12th edition of CPL.
