Dan Lawrence has been in and out of the England Test squad since he made his Test debut in 2021. However, he has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket and now once again, playing for Surrey he has shown his class with a fantastic 175 against Worcestershire. The knock included six sixes and five of those came in a single over against Shoaib Bashir.

The sixes came in the 128th over of Surrey's innings and the first five balls were tonked over the fence. The first and second sixes were hammered down the ground as he danced down the track with great disdain. The third ball was bowled wide outside off, but Dan Lawrence still went down the track and launched it into the crowd. The next balls were bit fuller in length, and Lawrence clobbered them from his crease.

After five sixes, Shoaib Bashir bowled a wayward delivery that added five runs to the total while it was followed by a no ball which fetched two runs. The last ball was a dot, and overall the over went for 38 runs.

Shoaib Bashir recently was part of England's Test squad for India tour and impressed a bit with his handy off-breaks. This will be a bit of setback for him but he still finished with two wickets as Surrey were eventually bowled out for 490.
