Shai Hope has certainly made the most of the opportunity he has received in place of injured Brandon King.

The West Indian opener was ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to an injury, and Hope was drafted in the playing XI for the crucial fixture against USA. West Indies needed a big win to boost their net run rate, and Hope led the charge with some breath-taking assault.

After a clinical performance by the Windies bowlers, the onus was on the openers to chase down a paltry 129. The batting lineup didn't disappoint as they led the assault right from the word go. Hope was the chief aggressor, as he found his groove and took the USA bowlers to the cleaners. He played some delightful strokes and took a special liking towards all-rounder, Milind Kumar.

In the 9th over, he started the carnage with a 80m six over the deep mid-wicket region. He followed it up with a similar stroke, and once again clobbered the ball over the mid-wicket region as Milind Kumar was rattled.

However, the shot of the match was produced on the last delivery when Hope slapped a 89m six over the cover region as the USA bowler looked helpless.
