On Day 5, spirits were low as India took on New Zealand at the Chinnaswamy Stadium with a target of 107. However, that did not stop the Indian cricket team from putting their best foot forward and trying their hardest to turn things around.

One such moment he occurred during the match when Virat Kohli, who slammed a fine 70 run in India's second innings, was seen hyping the crowd. In the viral video, Kohli asks the crowd to cheer for the team despite being in a stressful situation in the match. He urges the crowd to make more noise for the home team and support them.

New Zealand Make History With Win vs India In 1st Test

In a historic turn of events New Zealand won the first Test of the series against India by 8 wickets on the Indian soil after 36 years. Previously, India won the toss and chose to bat first after rain spoiled the first day of play. 

India had a horrifyling crumble with just 46 runs, their lowest total at home. They were stunned with the mighty bowling spell by Matt Henry and William O'Rourke with five and four wickets respectively. 

Seizing the moment, New Zealand built a big lead of 356 runs before declaring its first innings, thanks to a crucial partnership of 137 runs between centurion Rachin Ravindra (134) and Tim Southee (65). 

India's second innings started promisingly with a 177-run stand by Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan ended in their last seven wickets falling for the mere 54 runs. On Day 5, New Zealand easily chased the target down, with a number of partnerships cementing victory and taking the three-match series into the second game with 1-0 on their side.

Meanwhile, India will now meet New Zealand for the second Test at Pune on 24th October and aim to make a strong comeback.
