Team India, with Virat Kohli back in the T20I fold after a 14-month gap, gears up to face Afghanistan in the second T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Rohit Sharma's team eyes a series triumph, having secured a six-wicket victory in Mohali to take a 1-0 lead.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, who continues to add feathers to his already illustrious cap, will be nearing another milestone when he takes the field against Afghanistan. It will be his first T20I game since November 2022.

Virat Kohli, acclaimed as 'The Great of T20s’ and 'The Chase Master,' stands just 17 runs shy of reaching 2000 runs while chasing in T20Is. With 1983 runs to his credit, he currently holds the second-highest position in this run-scoring feat.

Ireland batter Paul Stirling leads the charts in chasing runs in T20Is, amassing a total of 2074 runs. David Warner, the Australian batting giant, secures the third spot with 1788 runs, followed by former Pakistan captain Babar Azam and India's Rohit Sharma.
