Australia's premier batter Travis Head had a memorable outing in the second Test against India, as he slammed a blistering ton to script the hosts' dominance over the visitors. Coming at number five, Travis Head hammered 140 runs off 141 deliveries before Mohammed Siraj castled him with a magnificent yorker. 

However, the swashbuckling southpaw managed to break legendary Australian batter Adam Gilchrist's six-hitting record during his whirlwind knock. The left-handed batter struck four sixes, overtaking Gilchrist on the list of Australians with the most sixes against India in Test cricket.

Head went past Gilchrist, who managed ten Test sixes against the Indians. Legendary batter Steve Smith claims the fifth position with ten maximums in 40 Test innings. 

Travis Head's Outrageous Knock Ensures Australia's Dominance

Travis Head, who has enjoyed stellar success against India, once again played a significant knock, punishing the visitors with a power-packed hundred. He countered the Indian bowlers with the utmost effect, hammering seventeen fours and four maximums for his blistering innings. 

However, he couldn't breach the 150-run mark, as Siraj cleaned him up with a ripper. Both players also exchanged some words before Head started leaving for the dugout. Nevertheless, his terrific knock propelled Australia to 332 for eight at dinner break on day 2.
