The Netherlands have had a phenomenal journey in the ongoing T20 World Cup. They sealed their Super 12 berth after swatting aside UAE and Namibia in the group stage.

Led by Scott Edwards, the Dutch will play their first Super 12 encounter against Bangladesh on Monday. Ahead of the crucial clash, veteran batter Tom Cooper has backed his team to go all the way against the Tigers.

Speaking to reporters, Cooper expressed his surprise over people tagging the Netherlands as the underdogs for this match. Further, he termed it pretty much possible for the Dutch to edge past Bangladesh, as they have done it in the past.

Here's what Cooper commented

"You guys suggested it will be an upset. But we don't see it that way. We are here to compete. We have got close against these guys in the past. I don't see no reason that we can't knock them off tomorrow."

The Netherlands have clashed with Bangladesh in three T20Is, winning one of them. Their only win came on home soil when they chased a meagre 129 against a robust Bangladesh bowling unit. Considering their recent form, it certainly won't be an upset if they defeat the Tigers on Monday.
