IND vs PAK: Rohit Sharma hails Virat Kohli after India's magical win

Riding on Virat Kohli's fabulous 82*-run knock, India managed to seal a close game against Pakistan at the MCG today. Chasing 160, India were reeling at 31 for 4 in 6.1 overs. However, Virat Kohli, well-supported by Hardik Pandya, sailed the Indian ship smoothly and eventually got them over the line in the final delivery of the match. 

After India's miraculous win, captain Rohit Sharma lavished praise on Kohli for his sensational inning. The veteran opener termed this knock as Kohli's best-ever in Indian colours and hailed the way he dealt with pressure in the middle. Rohit also called it an excellent way to get off the mark in the World Cup and thanked Indian fans for their massive support in this high-voltage encounter.

Here's what Rohit Sharma stated

"We wanted to stay in the game for as long as possible. That crucial partnership was the game changing moment for us. Those two guys (Kohli and Pandya) are experienced. Staying calm and taking the game deep was very critical. Always crucial to get off the mark like this,

"The way we won that's more pleasing for us. Hats off to Virat for the way he batted, has to be the best innings he has played for India. I would like to thank everyone, it's wonderful to see. Their support for us is very, very crucial wherever we go."

India opened their account in style with this astounding victory. The Men in Blue will take on the Netherlands in Sydney on October 27.
