NAM vs UAE: Preview, Predicted Playing XI, Live Streaming

After a spectacular win against Sri Lanka in the first game, Namibia will be out to seal their Super 12 spot when they face the United Arab Emirates in the 10th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at Geelong.

With one victory and one loss from two games they have played, Namibia are second on the table with two points behind the Netherlands. Therefore, their qualification hopes rest on this match which, if they win, would take them through. However, in case of washout, it will make their case dicey depending on their Net Run Rate, which is the healthiest as compared to others.

Conversely, UAE's campaign seems already over with two defeats in two games, and now all they might be playing for is to leave their mark. Karthik Meiyappan's hat trick in the previous game was a significant positive, and they would certainly want more of those.

Match Details:

Match: Namibia vs United Arab Emirates, Match 10, Group A, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022
Date and Time: 20th October 2022, Wednesday; 01:30 PM IST
Venue: Simonds Stadium, Geelong
Live Streaming: Star Sports Network, Disney+ Hotstar

Pitch Report: With a lot of matches happening at this venue, there's only one thing we realised that it isn't a true Australian wicket. However, the pitch isn't a bad one to bat first, getting slower with the game, with scores ranging above 150 considered par.

Probable Playing XI

Namibia: Michael van Lingen, Divan la Cock, Stephan Baard, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Gerhard Erasmus (c), Jan Frylinck, David Wiese, JJ Smit, Zane Green (wk), Bernard Scholtz, Ben Shikongo

United Arab Emirates: Chirag Suri, Muhammad Waseem, Zawar Farid, Chundangapoyil Rizwan (c), Basil Hameed, Vriitya Aravind (wk), Kashif Daud, Aayan Afzal Khan, Karthik Meiyappan, Junaid Siddique, Zahoor Khan

Prediction

There's no way Namibia will let this game go out of their hands after the disappointment they faced against the Netherlands. UAE has looked pale in this edition which could be proof that it will be tough for them to challenge their rivals. However, with this being the last match of Group A, Namibia will know the exact situation for them to qualify, which, expectedly, they can get through.
