Curtis Campher was the star of the show as his stunning 32-ball 72* helped Ireland cross the winning line against Scotland on Wednesday.

Chasing a tricky 177, Ireland at one stage were tottering at 61 for 4, when George Dockrell joined hands with Campher and the duo started to resurrect their innings. The duo added 119 runs in 9.3 overs and have equalled a long standing 15 year old record.

Their partnership is now the joint highest 5th wicket stand in men's T20Is. They equalled the record set by Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul-Haq, against Australia in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup.

To set the record straight, the next highest 5th wicket stand for Ireland is 59 between Kevin O'Brien and Greg Thompson against Hong Kong in 2016.

Campher's stellar knock is also the highest score by an Irish player at the men's T20 World Cup. The previous best was Paul Stirling's 60 scored against Zimbabwe in 2014.
