Mr consistent of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Suryakumar Yadav is simply unstoppable in the league and with each passing game, the Mumbai Indians star has taken his game to another level. Against Punjab Kings, SKY created a world record as he went past the 25-run mark.
SKY creates historic T20 record
He surpassed South African captain, Temba Bavuma to have the most consecutive 25-plus scores in T20 cricket. Prior to the Punjab game, both SKY and Bavuma had 13 such scores of 25-plus in consecutive matches, but now, SKY has gone to 14 innings in a row - talk about consistency.
Prior to Suryakumar, this record by an Indian was held by former KKR and CSK batter, Robin Uthappa, with 10 scores of 25-plus in T20 cricket. Interestingly, Bavuma achieved this feat during the 2019-20 season and the list also includes some unlikely names.

This is the second season in IPL when SKY has registered more than 600-plus runs. The first time he achieved the feat was during the 2023 season, and now, he has done it again as the Mumbai batter has carried the lineup to the playoffs.
