IND vs ZIM: Captain's Thoughts

Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "We wanted to bat first today. I know it's a fresh wicket. But the wicket tends to get slower in this part of the country. So, we wanted to bat first. We have got a vision for 2026. It's good that the guys are getting some game time and it's great that India have come here. Hopefully, our top three will kick off today.

We need our three departments to fire. If we do that, we can get the result. I'm pretty confident that after two bad games, the guys are hungry today to bounce back in the series. We have got one change. Wellington Masakadza misses out and Faraz Akram comes in."

Shubman Gill (India Captain): "We will bowl first. Looks like a fresh wicket. Ask the groundsmen yesterday; they said they had watered it and have told me that there would be something in it for the fast bowlers.

There are a few areas for improvement. Especially, we gave bit too much runs in the death overs. We got a little complacent. We will try to improve in that area.Tushar Deshpande makes his debut in place of Avesh Khan."
