What ended as one of the most fantastic series for the Men in Blue as they whitewashed New Zealand in the three-match ODI series, skipper Rohit Sharma looked quite impressed.

The Indian opener who himself smashed a century in the final game, praised his side for being magnificent throughout the series as they got better off the Kiwis.

Sharma and Shubman Gill piled on runs against the visitors as they formed a double-century stand to help the side reach 385 in pursuit of which the BlackCaps faltered and were bowled out for 295 losing the game by 90 runs.

Rohit also talked about his hundred for which he mentioned that it was just a matter of time before he achieved it.

"I think the last 6 games that we played, we did well in all three departments and that has done the job for us. We were consistent throughout the game. Siraj and Shami were on the bench so we brought in the rest of the guys and they did the job successfully. I was batting well and it was just a matter of time to get the milestone,"

Moreover, the skipper looked ahead to the upcoming Australia challenge and spoke about the quality that they possess.

"We don't talk too much about the standings and Australia is a quality team and they will come hard and we are ready for it."

India and New Zealand will next be involved in a three-match T20I series beginning on the 27th of January in Ranchi.
