Rishabh Pant is playing just his 44th Test match but has already etched his name as one of the finest wicketkeeper batters in the history of the game. He now has the most hundreds for an Indian wicketkeeper and is likely to break more batting records in future.

Pant Becomes India's Most Successful Wicketkeeper In England

He has been pretty impressive behind the stumps as well and shades of it have been evident in the opening Test against England. He grabbed some sharp chances, and now, with a low diving catch of Harry Brook, he has surpassed MS Dhoni's tally of 36 dismissals in England.

Pant now has the most dismissals by an Indian wicketkeeper in England and is only behind Kamran Akmal in the list of Asian counterparts. The ex-Pakistan gloveman has 41 dismissals to his name in England. The former Pakistan captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, also features in the top five with 25 dismissals in England, while Wasim Bari has the same number of scalps as MS Dhoni.

Thus, Rishabh Pant has a great chance of going past Kamran Akmal in this five-match series against England. The wicketkeeper batter also became the first Asian wicketkeeper batter to score twin centuries in the longest format and has the highest aggregate for a wicketkeeper in a Test in England.

On the other hand, Harry Brook found himself on an unwanted list after a rare false shot against Shardul Thakur while trying to get off the mark on his very first delivery. He claimed a golden duck, followed by a heartbreaking 99, becoming the first-ever player to register this feat in the history of the format.
