In the ongoing IPL 2025 qualifier one between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Stadium, the Kings are in deep trouble as they have lost eight wickets for less than 100 runs on the board. RCB bowlers were on fire, in particular, Suyash Sharma, who took three wickets in his spell.

Eyes were on Shreyas Iyer before the match to make an impact, but the PBKS captain failed to contribute as the right-hand batter returned to the pavilion for a low score of 2 (3). On the 4th ball of the 4th over, Josh Hazlewood got rid of Iyer for the fourth time in T20s, which triggered a collapse for the Kings. 

Meanwhile, a picture has gone viral, where PBKS head coach Ricky Ponting was seen having an intense chat with Iyer in the dugout after the PBKS captain walked back to the dressing room.

It is unclear what the talk was, but it was certain that the Australian legend was not impressed with the nothing shot as pointed out by Sunil Gavaskar in the dressing room. None of the batters took the responsibility to take the game deep and put a decent total on the board. Talking about the ongoing match, the Kings are heading towards embarrassment as they are 97/9 after 13.3 overs.
