Amanjot misses out IND vs PAK match, Harmanpreet reveals why

At toss, India Women's captain Harmanpreet Kaur revealed Amanjot Kaur has been replaced by Renuka Singh Thakur in the Indian playing XI. The skipper stated that Amanjot is ill and won't participate in today's encounter against Pakistan.

Amanjot's illness is a massive setback for India Women's team as she showcased remarkable form in the previous encounter against Sri Lanka. Apart from scoring 53 runs, Amanjot bagged the crucial wicket of Vishmi Gunaratne, guiding India Women to a comprehensive win with her all-round brilliance. Overall she finished her spell with figures of 1 for 37 in six overs.

On the other hand, Amanjot's unavailability gives Renuka Singh Thakur a golden opportunity to exhibit her class and cement her place in the team. Renuka can swing the new ball up front and hence can be a real threat to the Pakistani lineup early in the innings. In 21 ODIs, Renuka has bagged 38 wickets at a superb average of 23.1 and a strike rate of 27.5.
